Q: How long have you been with the team?
Q:How much rugby experience did you have before joining?
A: None (I even avoided it in school by playing netball with the girls in PE!!)
Q: What were the major factors that pushed you to join the team?
A: I hit the grand old age of 30 and I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone a little and make some ‘gay’ friends. I’d always seen Vikings on socials and after talking to a few of the guys I decided to turn up to a give it a try session. I quickly fell in love with being a part of the team!
Q: Since you’ve become a Viking, what’s been your favourite memory/memories so far?
A: Having the opportunity to play in the Principality Stadium and winning Players Player of the 22/23 season
Q: Can you give 3 pieces of advice to anyone on the fence about joining the Vikings or their local inclusive team?
A: Stop putting it off and come along, you won’t regret it! You’ll make some great friends.
We don’t care if you haven’t got any experience. It’s really not as scary as you think. I put it off for so long because I didn’t have any experience and actually I was made to feel welcome and comfortable instantly.
