Q:How much rugby experience did you have before joining?
A: I played in school but I was never a massive fan – all the PE lessons were geared towards the talented athletes and I was not in that group.
Q: What were the major factors that pushed you to join the team?
A: I wanted to try something new and make new friends. The scene in Swansea has gotten smaller and smaller in recent years and meeting new people is difficult. I also wanted to prove to myself that I could have done sport when I was younger.
Q: Since you’ve become a Viking, what’s been your favourite memory/memories so far?
A: Bingham cup in Amsterdam – I was being held together with tape and painkillers for 3 days and French player busted my head but it was an amazing few days!
Q: Can you give 3 pieces of advice to anyone on the fence about joining the Vikings or their local inclusive team?
A: Turn up first and worry about how good you afterwards. It’s really easy to defeat yourself before you even get to the pitch. Rugby is for everyone!
